Ranchview High School is a secondary school located in Irving, Texas, United States. ==Overview== Ranchview High School is a part of Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District, although it is located in Valley Ranch within the city limits of Irving. Ranchview has a site which is located between Valley Ranch Parkway South, Valley Ranch Parkway East and Ranchview Drive. Ranchview opened in 2002 starting with 8th and 9th grades only, although high schools in CFB-ISD do not traditionally include 8th grade. The following year, the 8th grade class became the freshman class (the 8th grade class was moved back to Barbara Bush Middle School), and the school continued with the 9th and 10th grades. The school added a grade each year thereafter until reaching full high school status (9–12th grades) in the 2005/2006 school year. Established in 2002, Ranchview High School is the newest of the district’s high schools and serves students in the Irving, Las Colinas, Valley Ranch, and Coppell areas of our school district. Prior to Ranchview's opening, all students living west of Interstate 35E attended R.L. Turner High School. The school includes 780 students and 79 professional staff with an average class size of 22 students. Students at RHS are encouraged to become involved in extracurricular clubs and activities and join arts groups and athletic teams. Ranchview is the only high school in Carrollton-Farmers Branch to be authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization to offer the IB Diploma Programme. The level of instructional challenge is seen in the array of Pre-Diploma, IB, and AP courses offered at Ranchview. These include Physics, Biology, Visual Art, Statistics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Calculus, History of the Americas, English, French, Spanish, and the unique IB Theory of Knowledge course. Additionally, partnerships with Northlake and Brookhaven Colleges, Texas Tech University, and The University of Texas allow students to earn college credits while still enrolled in high school. In addition to this tuition savings, the third graduating class of 150 students received over $1.2 million in scholarships. In the performing arts, students produce numerous concerts, plays, dance recitals, and art exhibitions each year. Each of the performing groups includes members who are also active in highly competitive city and regional level choirs, bands, dance and theater troupes, and orchestras. The school is also home to various athletic teams. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Ranchview High School」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
